What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.

Angela’s counseling approach is eclectic depending on the client. Her expertise areas include developmental psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, DBT, RO-DBT with an emphasis on mindfulness and self-compassion. Angela is a certified therapist in Radically Open
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT)
which is a very effective therapeutic treatment for issues of over control such as anorexia nervosa, OCD and treatment resistant anxiety or depression. Overall, her areas of specialty include:

  • mental health issues affected by physical health

  • eating disorders (all)

  • anxiety disorders including treatment-resistant anxiety

  • depressive disorders including treatment-resistant depression

  • parenting issues

  • transdiagnostic treatments for issues with under control (impulsiveness) or over control (rigidity) that impact relationships and life success

Angela offers a Christian integration model in her therapy as an option for Christian clients.

Ultimately, Angela wants to harness her client’s own worldview and value system to assist them with solving problems.  All guidance is person-centered in nature.

Each session is $125. Our counseling services are currently private pay.

How Does It Work?

The first 1-2 sessions will include what we call an intake. This allows us to get to know you and what your goals are for therapy.

Once the intake portion is complete, Angela will work on a collaborative treatment plan that will be estimated to run across a set number of individual sessions and possibly be assigned to self-paced or group skills classes for optimal effectiveness of a client’s goals. The treatment plan will be re-evaluated throughout the process and changed as needed.

The goal of mental health counseling is to keep you well and functioning in your normal daily functions. We will provide important tools that help increase your ability to live life in a more vibrant way.

Mental health services are available for any gender 13-18 years of age and female adults for individual therapy. Angela is most equipped to deal with mental health issues affecting nutrition and physical health. Some areas are listed below.

Emotional Eating & Eating Disorders

Anxiety or Depression

Marriage & Family Issues

“Mental health problems don’t define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but you are not the rain.”
