Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Co-Owner

Angela Lemond is founder and co-owner of Lemond Nutrition. She is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Associate under the supervision of Natalie Morse, LPC-S, RPT.

Angela sees health holistically; from the physical, mental, and spiritual sectors. She became a dietitian after going through her own health journey and was in awe of the human body’s ability to operate when in proper balance. Angela worked in clinical pediatrics at Children’s Health for her first 5 years as a dietitian and became very skilled at growing infants and children during some of the more medically sensitive challenges in life. Lemond Nutrition was founded in 2009, so it could be an outpatient wellness clinic that families could go for in-depth support for whatever health issues that their children were going through. From tube feeding to digestive disorders to food allergies, Lemond Nutrition became a known place that families could go, and health providers could refer, and know they will receive evidence-based, individualized care. From pediatrics, Lemond branched into adult wellness and medical nutrition therapy as more dietitian practitioners were added.  Today, Lemond Nutrition sees thousands of patients each year mostly out of their two Dallas-area clinics, but also virtually across 20 states.

Angela believes that having a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) on a person’s healthcare team is a core solution for the wellness of Americans.  While Lemond Nutrition was growing, Angela was also serving within the dietetic profession as a volunteer in various positions at the local, state, and national level to promote the role of the registered dietitian.  Some volunteer highlights include Communications Director and President for the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as serving as a National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for 9 years.  Angela continues to serve as an expert source in the media and partner healthcare groups regarding various topics revolving nutrition and wellness.

Lemond Nutrition began seeing eating disorders around 2014, and they slowly began realizing that everyone has a relationship with food. It waxes and wanes depending on the seasons of life or the medical issues that arise. And for some, food is a way they cope. In pediatrics, Angela always knew the behavioral aspects of eating and feeding children. The influence of a parent’s eating habits has a big impact on their child. All this coming together in practice prompted Angela to learn more about food and mood by returning for more clinical training in 2020.

Angela completed her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics at the University of Texas Southwestern’s School of Allied Health Sciences School. She is a licensed dietitian in Texas and is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Angela has her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate through the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors.

Angela co-leads the Lemond Nutrition organization, but still sees pediatric and adult patients as a dietitian one day per week. With her LPC Associate credential under the supervision of Natalie Morse, LPC-S, RPT, she provides mental health therapy for things such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders and transition of life issues.
