Certain Food Helps Fight Certain Diseases

That’s why you need an individualized plan that specifically addresses your health issue.

Fight Disease Without the Side Effects

A Nutrition Plan that Helps Prevent and Fight Disease.

Doctor-prescribed medication is vital to disease recovery. But your diet plays a huge role in not just recuperation but prevention. Medical nutrition therapy can help decrease the need for medication. We curate a diet that nourishes your body in the way that it needs.

We do a careful analysis of your current diet and eating habits, review all allergies, and start setting goals. With this, we start you on a diet plan to help you reach and exceed those goals. Simple as that.

Tracking Outcomes for Success

Follow-Ups and Ongoing Support.

What sets us apart from standard hospitals is prioritizing a personal relationship between the practitioner and the family. This is illustrated through regular follow-ups to monitor progress, make adjustments, and answer your questions along the way.

Follow-up visits for MNT patients are determined depending on the severity of the nutrition risk and the status of the patient. Frequency is determined by your RDN at the time of the first visit; they can be weekly to monthly.

Medical Nutrition Plan of Action

Food is Our Prescription.

Medical nutrition therapy is a therapeutic approach specifically done by registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) to treat medical conditions and their associated symptoms.

We send all nutrition notes to the referring MD and/or any other MDs on the patient's treatment team to ensure maximum communication for the patient. Medical releases must be obtained ahead of time. The patient may decline this at any time. For children, the parent / legal guardian is to sign their releases.

Prior to any nutrition prescription, your RDN will assess:

  • Past Medical History and Family Medical History

  • Past Weight History (Growth History for children)

  • Current blood laboratory results (RDN may ask for more to be run depending on the issue, and that request would be made to the patient's doctor)

  • A minimum 24 hour dietary recall along with typical foods current eaten

  • Psychological and social analysis

“I was diagnosed last September as “pre-diabetic”. To get my body chemistry right, I began using a fitness watch at the beginning of the year and working with Lauren Morris at Lemond Nutrition at the beginning of the summer. Within just over 3 months on the food plan Lauren designed for me, I've lost 23 pounds. I got my new lab results last week.and my blood sugar is now right in the middle of the healthy range. My wife is very happy with the results.”
