She stays current with the latest research to ensure that she is consistently providing evidence-based information while caring for her patients. Lauren sought out additional education in her area of interest and became a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through IAEDP (the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals).

Lauren's passion is for those that are fighting to overcome an eating disorder or disordered eating. Her approach encompasses empathy, while also challenging her patients to navigate the uncomfortableness of change. She is constantly researching to find new activities to incorporate into the sessions to help maximize the outcomes for her patients. Lauren works alongside patients to create individualized treatment plans that empower the patient to improve their quality of life and step towards freedom with food. Lauren enjoys working alongside the patient to not only focus on food but also place emphasis on the importance of mental and emotional health. She works diligently to empower patients to be an active part of their treatment process.

Lauren is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians. She works closely with several of the local treatment facilities for ease of transition and to ensure continuity of care. She works closely with other healthcare professionals to help better serve her patients and ensure that they receive tailored care. She has a passion for helping educate other healthcare professionals on how to better serve those with eating disorders.

Lauren moved from her hometown of Collinsville in 2008 and currently calls Lavon, Texas home. She and her husband, Kaleb, welcomed their pride and joy, Gideon, in June 2020.
