Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Justin Batchelder is a passionate and experienced Registered Dietitian dedicated to improving the lives of individuals through the power of food and nutrition. Driven by a personal experience with overcoming health challenges through dietary shifts, Justin brings a unique perspective and deep empathy to his work with Lemond Nutrition.

Justin completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition and dietetics at MSU Denver and has gained valuable hands-on experience through various roles. As the Nutrition Education and Cooking Club Coordinator at a nonprofit, anti-hunger organization, he bolstered his communication and leadership skills while empowering communities with knowledge and resources to embrace healthy food choices. This passion extended to volunteering with Easter Seals and Craig Hospital; and sharing his experience with high school students with disabilities who plan to attend college.

Justin also works at Kindred Denver, a long-term acute care hospital, where he demonstrates his commitment to providing direct care and collaborating with patients to develop personalized plans for optimal health. Notably, his strong empathy and self-awareness allow him to connect with individuals on a deeper level, fostering trust and positive outcomes.

Justin’s vision extends beyond individual patients. He actively contributes to advocacy efforts, like presenting at the food and nutrition conference for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics concerning disability inclusion in dietetics; and participating in the Nutrition Advocacy Summit for the expansion of nutrition and health programs. Moving forward, his goal is to expand access to medical nutrition therapy, particularly for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities, a population he intimately understands.
