Liz is a University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship at Abilene Christian University.
Liz's nutrition counseling utilizes an empathetic, Intuitive Eating and non-dieting approach to achieve long-term behavioral change. All nutrition counseling is provided under the Health at Every Size (R) lens. Following initial nutrition assessment, Liz tailors the intervention to each client based on their specific needs. She works closely with other team members such as therapists and/or doctors to ensure that her clients are getting well rounded, quality care. Liz's food philosophy is that all foods fit; balance and variety are key to living a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.
Liz's experience in the outpatient setting has provided her with extensive experience working with clients of all ages that struggle with a variety of eating issues, including, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, and disordered eating. Liz is passionate about continuing to specialize in eating disorder treatment and is currently pursuing her CEDRD (Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian) title through IAEDP (the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals).
Liz is an active member of the Dallas Fort Worth dietetic and eating disorder community. This includes the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD), and the DFW Chapter of the International Academy of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), where she currently holds the position of Marketing Co-Chair.
Outside of her nutrition therapy work, Liz enjoys roller blading, camping, exploring different cuisines, and connecting with friends, family, and her cats. <3
