Individual Assessment

Wellness or Nutrition Therapy

Do you want to eat better or lose weight or get off some of your medications?  Or, are you dealing with a chronic health issue and need nutrition guidance?  You have come to the right place, and we are honored to partner with you.

Eating can be both enjoyable and healthy. Using a fit vs. dieting approach (click here to see if you are fit or diet-minded!),  and we discuss all the aspects of a healthy lifestyle - including how to practically put that into place in your life.

First, it is important for us to get to know you and that is why we spend 90 minutes with you the first time we meet. The objective items we like to collect include:

  • Weight/Height/BMI
  • Body Fat Analysis
  • Waist Circumference
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel with cholesterol panel (ordered by your doctor)
  • Vitamin D test (ordered by your doctor)
  • Other labs per diagnosis
  • Past Medical History
  • Current Medications and Supplements

We will discuss in detail your life and customize a contractual plan that includes more than just nutrition goals in order to optimize your health. We will discuss other things such as exercise, sleep, stress level and other things that impact wellness. Once this plan is packaged up in a nice portfolio along with very practical educational pieces, we typically set-up a follow-up date for 4 weeks.

Our practitioners here are food therapists, so we recommend food as the main source of your treatment. In some cases were there is nutrition deficiency, we may recommended a vitamin supplement to correct the problem. However, we do not sell supplements.

Weight management clients will be asked to submit periodic food and activity logs, and we do plan on keeping you motivated via e-mail throughout the time that you are following our plan for you!  A

Be sure to fill out all pre-appointment forms prior to your appointment, which can be found on our insurace/forms section.

Ongoing Support

We don’t stop there. We follow-up in person, with email, and on the phone to provide constant support so you unlike before, this time you will achieve your goal of making eating and living healthy fun and just plain yummy.

We recommend that you come back to follow-up with us at least once regardless of your medical issue or nutrition diagnosis. Weight management clients typically like to follow-up for an extended time in order to optimize their success. In the follow-up appointments, we review the wellness contract that was put together at the first visit and re-measure weight/height/BMI, body fat and waist circumference. After a period of time, we usually recommend that you and get your laboratory tests redone if any were originally abnormal.

Bring back your love for feeling and eating healthy.
