I do an abbreviated individual plan for each family member including a customized wellness contract for each person. The consultation is typically 2 hours in length, but we go through the full eating dynamics of the family. I recommend that you come back to follow-up with me at least once regardless of your medical issue or nutrition diagnosis. Weight management clients typically like to follow-up for an extended time in order to optimize their success. In the follow-up appointments, we review the wellness contract that was put together at the first visit and re-measure weight/height/BMI, body fat and waist circumference. After a period of time, I usually recommend that you and get your laboratory tests redone if any were originally abnormal.
