Cristina Puga, RDN, CSP, LD

Cristina believes the key to balancing life and healthy eating is stemmed from the saying… "if there is a will, there is a way”.  Cristina understands sometimes life can throw curve balls, which can make balancing a healthy lifestyle difficult to manage. Cristina is passionate about working with families to find the right solution to meet their needs and goals realistically.

Cristina graduated with a Bachelors in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and completed her dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center.  She is currently completing her Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX with anticipated completion this December 2017.

Cristina is Board Certified as a Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition and has over 11 years of experience managing pediatric nutrition. Over the past 11 years, she has worked at Texas Scottish Rite, Children’s Hospital of San Antonio (formally CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital), and Cook Children’s Medical Center. Cristina has experience managing nutrition in chronic disease states and has worked within multiple pediatric outpatient specialty clinics including:  cystic fibrosis, pulmonary, gastroenterology, spina bifida, endocrinology/diabetes, feeding clinic, and complex care clinic.

Cristina currently lives in Argyle, TX along with her family, and enjoys staying physically active. She enjoys participating in local boot camps and running on the country paths near her residence. She just completed her first 10K and hopes to one day accomplish her first half-marathon.
